FEATURED PROJECT

Mountain View Garden

From heavy machinery damage to a thriving garden — resilience through thoughtful design.

← All Projects

This Mountain View project was built in the aftermath of heavy machinery damage. Rocks and soil had been scraped and piled, leaving the ground compacted and lifeless. California grass had taken over the disturbed area, choking out any chance of productive growth. The Natural Abundance team cleared the invasive grass thoroughly and prepared the site for a fresh start.

After clearing, the area was sheet mulched and planted densely with a mix of edible and flowering plants. The results came fast — in only a few months, what had been barren, damaged ground became a thriving garden. The system continues to flourish today with minimal maintenance, a testament to what's possible when you work with the land's natural recovery processes rather than against them.
